The fascinating world of dragonflies will come to live on these pages, little by little. I've been studying these insects since 2020 with a rocket growing interest and excitement. As with the birds, my interest is mainly focused on the identification aspects. But to be able to identify these ancient fliers, you first have to find them, and realizing that many species, especially damselflies, are very dependent on specific habitat types, specific types of wetlands, and often only fly for a limited time in the the season, it is very important to have knowledge of these aspects as well. My ambition is to build a resource that contributes to the knowledge of this part of the dragonfly's life.
My starting point will naturally be Danish species, Denmark being my home ground, but as my knowledge grows, I'll expand to include more regions and eventually the entire world. In fact, I already implemented the raw list of the species of the world which for me is a good way to learn about the variety of species that exist. I've also added the country lists of Denmark, Sweden and Mexico. The latter being made with extra emotional enthusiasm. I did not study these animals, when I was still living in Mexico. It turned out, I came home with photos of three species that I didn't remember, I had taken, but it really fired me up, and now I'm just waiting for an opportunity to go back and start all over!
