2022-04-08 Søerne (København), Denmark Showing classic mix of the two parent species. I've seen it here on a few occasions, together with a pure Graylag, why I guess it is a mature bird. Hormonally dispositioned, but likely not able to deliver... Hybrid |

2023-03-06 Christianshavns vold og voldgrav, Denmark Ravelinen. Seen more and more often in the Copenhagen area, I think. The mixes come in a great variety, this one with limited influence from Graylag except for the leg and bill color and size. Hybrid |

2023-03-17 Frederiksberg Have, Denmark 3 different birds. Likely offspring of the same pair, that was also present in the park. See 5077. If they are siblings, its surprising to see how different they look. The call is from Bird 3 (also: jogger, Eurasian Blue Tit, Hooded Crow - spec a fraction incl blue tit). Compared to 5077 it has a more Graylag shrilling quality to it. Bird 1: photo 1-3 Bird 2: photo 4-7 Bird 3: photo 8-9 |
