Monotypic: Inland southern Sinaloa and central Tamaulipas (northwestern and northeastern Mexico); rarely southern Texas (where formerly bred) to western Panama, and including Cozumel (just off Yucatan Peninsula); and Cuba, Jamaica, and Hispaniola.
