Description:
Forest lake filled with the plant Water-soldier [Krebseklo] and therefore breeding locality for Green Hawker [Grøn Mosaikguldsmed]. On naturbasen.dk this locality is named Fileten, as also seen on the map, but the official name of the lake is Svanesøen.
INTERESTS:
Green and Blue Hawkers, and little else, other than what a mature Danish deciduous forest can provide as the year passes.
ACCESS (free 24/7):
You have to park somewhere along Slangerupvej, and walk from there. There is a clear view of the lake from the road (photo), or at the bottom of the northern shore. In all though, it is rather difficult to get close to the hawkers as they prefer to stay out in or over the water.
