Vejen, Billund and Kolding Municipalities. A nutrient-poor lake situated in open agricultural landscape.
INTERESTS:
Flora and fauna in general including dragonflies and butterflies. The Blackthorn Aurora Moth [Kobberbrun Køllesværmer] has been found here in recent years. Dragonflies, mainly common Danish species (sponsa, cyathigerum, najas, grandis, cancellatum, danae, sanguineum, striolatum, vulgatum) [Alminde Kobbervandnymfe, Almindelig Vandnymfe, Rød Vandnymfe, Brun Mosaikguldsmed, Stor Blåpil, Sort Hedelibel, Stor Hedelibel, Almindelig Hedelibel].
ACCESS (free 24/7):
On foot. As seen on the foto-map below there are other parking options than the one I've marked, but this one is the most convenient, I think. You can walk around the lake. Depending on the conditions, wellingtons might be useful.
