Description:
Former naval facility and ship yard.
INTERESTS:
From a birding point of view the area was must more interesting before the housing development started. You used to be be able to drive to the north side of the sewage plant and watch for water birds or passerines, twite, redpolls in the brushes. Now the entire northern part of the peninsula is off limits. At least as long at Lynetteholmen, an artificial island, is under construction - being build in the sea to house even more people - because Copenhagen is such a wonderful place to live...
The thicket/wood grove encircled with red on the map ought to have the potential to attract passerines during migration, though I've only had redpolls of interest here.
ACCESS (free 24/7):
You enter the area from the lower left corner of the yellow line encircling the public area. Either in car, bus, on foot or bike. If you follow the left yellow line until the dotted line you can make a right here to reach the thicket area faster. The road then continues around the ship yard ground and you eventually return to the starting point.
