Black-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus ) Same bird: 32 Hættemåge ~ Gaviota Encapuchada ~ Skrattmås 2022-12-13 Dragør Havn, Denmark Adult. Banded with black text on white on right leg: 3LZ. Metal band on left leg. Now with the cold the birds are highly sensitive to any movements indicating that food is about to be brought out. I found this out the other day when I took out a bread snack to eat myself. Instantly 50 gulls were surrounding me, and when testing them, they were happy to feed right from my hand. And their audacity kept growing, trying to snatch the remaining part of the bread out of my other hand and one even landed on my head to be well within reach of the next opportunity. Sneaky creatures! OBS:The photo set loads slowly because of the video. Banded Black-headed Gull |
