2018-04-24 Comunidad Benito Juárez (Los Tuxtlas - ver), Mexico Subspecies: excellens (Long-tailed) Presumable female on the nest. Found by local guide, who didn't know it was there. But we went there exactly to look for this species, why I think we should consider ourselves lucky to get it. The nest is placed above a creek and the cliff protrudes further up, giving good shelter against the rain. |
