2021-11-06 Melby Overdrev, Denmark An unexpected single bird passing by today. There have been good numbers in October, and according to DOF-basen several birds today in Danish waters. The compact shape with the rather broad dark wings, and white trailing edge to the arm, are characteristics to look for. But when you have the more common alcids, Razorbill and Common Murre, passing by regularly, you can't avoid noticing that this small feather ball is something different. In the background Common Scoters. |
