2016-01-07 Tikal PN, Guatemala Subspecies: tzacatl Adult female. Bright colors and maxilla almost black. Buff-bellied has more orange-colored belly. Also does not show orange buff in front of the eye. |

2016-01-07 Tikal PN, Guatemala Subspecies: tzacatl Typical Amazilia with the red bill, the green back and green chest. The extensive rufous color of the tail separates it from the similar-looking Buff-bellied, females, and from Berylline by lack of a rufous patch on the wing. |
