Unexpected to find this species here. Late in the season in a sun-filled clearing with Tall Goldenrod [Sildig Gyldenris]. My only second animal on Amager.

Number two animal of the this dark form today. And we only saw these two, why it is natural to speculate whether the odd coloration in fact is the result of a profound feeling of disappointment of not finding any males to do it with, rather than the unoriginal explanation of DNA mutations.

Apparently up to 10% of any given population show females of this aberrant form, why I can conclude that I have seen very few paphia because the two valesinas today were my first!
