The first photo shows what looks like a normal colored individual, while the rest shows two different animals of the paler summer generation, hutchinsoni, that occur if early offspring has been produced. The size difference the two between is probably sex related.

We saw several animals of this species, but as we were concentrating on tortoiseshells I only took one of this animal as it was sitting so attractively, though, partly blocked...
Aberrant form suffusa. Very worn. Thomas Larsen had another two days ago, why they are around now.
Only saw it like this from a distance before it flew away. All the other c-albums I saw today were looking fresh, why I speculate whether this form is more fragile than normal...
Maybe no reason to keep posting standard photos of this species. They don't reveal anything new about the species, other than confirms how beautiful it is!
