Imago Not at all easy to get onto. And without photo evidence I would never have been able to identify any of the four aglaja animals I saw today. Flying similarly to, and with, lathonia [Storplettet Perlemorsommerfugl], they just blended in. Of course, being a new species to me, I lack the experience of the jizz of aglaja, and hopefully it will be easier in the future. |

Imago Worn. The greenish cast seen on the upperside is probably more a result of wear than a true character of the animal. The six black spots in the submarginal area on the upper forewing are almost similar in size, where number 3 from the costae normally is smaller. The large distance between these spots and the black triangles closer to the outer margin is a good indication of this species. |

Imago I only saw this animal like this, but the large distance between the row of black spots in the submarginal upper forewing and the triangles closer to the outer margin is good for the species. |

Imago ♀ Worn. My first animal of the species. On Field Scabious [Blåhat]. If Nordens Fjärilar is correct, then I would call this one a female because of the bat-shaped black spots along the outer margin on the hindwing. On the male they are shaped more like the triangular spots of the forewing. |
