2cy bird with broad spotted markings on underside, squarish red brown spots on rear flank part. Also still whitish tips to arm coverts. Looking at the different photos whitish spots show up on different parts of the bird. This because the bases to the feathers are white and they are exposed differently from photo to photo. Also notice the narrow white tips to the rectrices, a good indication of this species compared to Cooper's Hawk. |
