Dusky Flycatcher (Empidonax oberholseri) monotypic Brun Empidonax ~ Papamoscas Matorralero ~ Bergempid 2016-03-31 Presa la Vega (jal), Mexico
This empidonax because: Long shape, small round head, narrow dark bill, short primary projection, non-black remiges and general tones in the green-gray range. The throat should have been more gray, but think it is because of the difficult angle and fresh feathers. |

Dusky Flycatcher (Empidonax oberholseri) monotypic Brun Empidonax ~ Papamoscas Matorralero ~ Bergempid 2017-04-12 Bosque Los Colomos (Guadalajara), Mexico
Gray greenish plumage typical for the species, and comparatively long bill plus shorter primary projection than Hammond's. I've only seen few in the park. |
