Lesser Scaup (Aythya affinis) monotypic Lille Bjergand ~ Pato Boludo Menor ~ Mindre Bergand 2012-11-18 Miramar (Manzanillo), Mexico
2 females. The dark eye indicate young birds. Don't know if the grayish feathers on the back of both birds are unusual. However, can't find photos with similar plumages, but perhaps it is a trait of the first basic plumage. |
