Adult. Ravelinen. The bird was still present today, showing the same clear features indicating a hybrid. Today I was able to compare it with a coot, and it looked intermediate in size between the coot and the pure moorhens. The overall behavior was more like that of the also present moorhens, sticking to the edge of the water, foraging in between stones and in grassy parts. It acted confident and there were never signs of conflicts with other birds, as can often be seen when someone looks different. OBS: The photo set loads slowly because of the videos. Rare, Hybrid |
