Subspecies: ?
Young bird with darkish bill and yellowish gapes. The puffy back and flank feathers also indicate a young individual. Picture 5 is uncropped.
Subspecies: [?]
Wet adult male non-breeding - by the yellowish bill. The almost solid black chin and throat is probably caused by the wet feather tips.
Subspecies: [domesticus by location]
Juvenile. Rare species on the balcony. Came in an unusual day with all the Tree Sparrows and another rare visitor, a Euopean Greenfinch.
Subspecies: [domesticus]
Juvenile becoming a young male. By black chest feathers emerging.
Still a very rare species coming to the feeder. Also had a brief visit of a juvenile Lesser Whitethroat, of all species. It didn't try to feed though, but the sparrow did take a few seeds before it took off.
