Male. Endemic. Not very common, but you often see it near wet green areas. Separated from Bullock's Oriole by the black flanks, broad black facial mask and the yellow eyebrow that stops above the eye. Endemic |

Female. This bird came in with a male Black-backed why I think it is safe to name it of the same species. But the females are very similar to females of Bullock's, though it does look like this bird is darker, more colorful, almost like you would expect a female Baltimore to look. Endemic |

Male. Most similar to Bullock's Oriole which is more common, but not necessarily easier to photograph. This photo I think is the closest I've come to get a complete bird within the frame and within a reasonable distance. Endemic |

Male of this localized oriole of the highland of central Mexico. Always a joy to see. The short yellow eyebrow in front of the eye and the black flank are characteristic as is the tail pattern. Endemic |

Male. Regular at the north end of the lake. Unmistakable when seen well. The black flank is diagnostic in it self, well-supported by the unique black back and short yellow eyebrow. Endemic |

Adult male. When seen well unmistakable, but like Bullock's Oriole it likes to stay rather hidden in the higher foliage not always revealing the diagnostic black lower back, black head with short yellow eyebrow or the black flanks. Regular in larger trees around the lake, broad-leaf rather than conifers though. Endemic |
