Subspecies: mexicana Adult. I think, a typical example of the bird from the central part of Mexico. Brown-rufous on the wings and back, and blackish streaking on the breast merging to a patch in the center. On Sierra Madre Sparrow the breast streaking remains intact throughout. Mentioned because the two in some situations can look very much alike. |
