Subspecies: virenticeps Adult. Very attractive resident of the moist and darker parts of the mountain forests. In areas where Collared Towhee is also present the green eyestripe behind the eye is what you should look for, plus the gray breast rather than the solid black as the Collared has. Normally stays low, but can get into the trees as well now and then. Endemic |
