Subspecies: splendens
Adult male. First record for Ags. More pairs present at the bridge. Unmistakable in this area. Here revealing the white shoulder patch.
Subspecies: splendens
Adult male in basic plumage. The strongly black remiges and the black markings toward the rear part indicate an adult rather than a 1cy.
Subspecies: splendens
2cy male. Interesting to see the breast streaks continue as flank streaks on this bird. Also notice the bright eye ring, which is present on most female types, though it is not a character you find illustrated in Howell and Webb -95.
Subspecies: splendens
Adult male. Since the male in great part obtains a female-like basic plumage, it is not possible to deduct that this bird is a young individual just because it shows brownish upper tail coverts.
Subspecies: splendens
Young male with streaked breast and beginning black plumage. Many in the area, corn and sorghum, also singing males in breeding plumage.
