2011-12-18 Parque Regional (Colima), Mexico
Subspecies: pileolata/chryseola Adult male. Seen from below it is difficult to see the black cap, which makes it easy to confuse this species with Yellow Warbler or especially Golden Vireo, both present in the area. Golden Vireo has a stronger bill, the head always seems a little bushy, and the greenish markings in the head have a dusty quality to them. |
