Subspecies: ? Yellow type, likely from the Pacific area. The cold greenish-yellow plumage is distinct and normally easily separated from Yellow Warbler which is the most similar species. The latter normally is more warm yellow, and forage high in the trees whereas OCWA normally is found low. The broken eyering is also characteristic for OCWA. Hint of the orange crown is visible in picture 1 - rarely seen. |

Subspecies: [?] Not a straight forward bird, but think the only alternative would be a drab Yellow Warbler which would have needed a more convincingly complete eye-ring, for one thing. Behavior and habitat also best for OCWA. |
