Subspecies: caerulescens Am not sure, but one could imagine that older birds have more clean red eyes, why this bird could be a 2cy since the eye is more brownish. |

Subspecies: caerulescens If the eye theory is valid, this is an adult with clearly red eye. |

Subspecies: caerulescens According to Howell it is old birds that have paler streaked head, which this bird has. However, the funny looking worn and brownish tail gives me associations toward a younger bird. It also looks like the right wing has similarly colored brownish remiges. On the other hand it is obvious that where the tail feathers overlap each other, the color seems more natural, which could make one believe that backlit rectrices always would look this brownish. But the remiges are not backlit, why their brownish color must be genuine. Reason for this color? |

Subspecies: caerulescens Adult. When you get the feeling of it, it is obvious even at this distance that this bird is of this species: Medium sized, dark, small headed, pointed bill and broad long tail. |

The master of mimicry, though it sounds more like it's own voice in these recordings. Likely same individual both recordings. Also. Rec 1: Russet Nightingale-Thrush. Rec 2: White-throated Thrush. |
