Sydtårnet. Not sure if it came up from the reeds or came in along the dike, but it circled one time in front of the tower and then tried to land along sydmøllevej, where it crashed into the cattle fence, and fell to the ground. Everything wet after 24 hours of rain (first in a long time), it's fortunate the power has been turned off from the fence lines. It then continued and landed in the reeds along the east-west channel a hundred meters from the tower, where it dived into safety at the bottom of the reeds. It has been a row of poor years for this exclusive species on Amager. But one being seen briefly by Steffen at Sydvestpynten in the winter, one being present during the spring at Storehøj, and now this one, however, makes hope for the marking of a local revival. |
