Subspecies: [?] Breeding bird collecting food. Smaller and more compact than Mistle Thrush, and spots on chest and below shaped like small arrow-heads; round circular on Mistle Thrush. Song Thrush is pretty common in the forest but not easy to get a good look at. Either it sings from the top of tall trees, often obscured by foliage, and if you surprise it closer to the ground it normally flies away before you get to see it well. Now, when busy collecting food for the offspring might be the best time of year on the breeding ground to get a good look, as I managed in this situation. |

♂. I think the two recordings are of different birds. Recording 1 also: Common Chaffinch, Great Tit, Coal Tit. Recording 2 also: Great Spotted Woodpecker. |
