♂. Came across this acrocephalus at 00:30 when doing a larger circuit to find night calling species. With the confirmed and present Blyth's Reed Warbler at Frieslandsvej in mind my first thought, when I heard this one, was that it was indeed another individual. However, despite of the song being slow paced it doesn't include any of the classic dy dy dy notes and also has a faster paced quality to the snarling passages in some occasions favoring Marsh. It's good to have in mind that often some birds subdue their normal expression when singing at this time. Also: Edible Frog. |
