Subspecies: cinerascens Adult. Head peaked and unicolored gray brown. Pale yellowish belly perhaps seems darker because of morning sun. |

Subspecies: cinerascens This bird gave its pip call, excluding Nutting's Flycatcher. Probably a 2cy bird with the rufous of the undertail reaching the tip of the tail, something that is not normally not shown by the the adult. |

Subspecies: cinerascens Adult. From this picture I had some difficulties deciding whether this bird was a Nutting's or an Ash-throated. Only saw it from the front and it was silent, and the tail pattern looks like something between the two species. The tail pattern is classic for old Ash-throated. |

Subspecies: cinerascens Very bright impression, especially seen from the front, and white edges to secondaries. The heavy bill made Brown-crested pop up as a solution, but the mentioned characteristics ought to be more important. Don't know if the mostly dark tip to the visible rectries toward the left is an indication of Ash-throated or if it is a variable character that all the myiarchus species in the area can show. |

Subspecies: cinerascens Discovered the bird on the wire above the wall. Unfortunately I couldn't get to the camera quickly enough while it sat there. But while it was sitting back in the field it called several times the typical pip call. Also the typical myiarchus to show up in unexpected places. And there were two birds actually.
