Juvenile. Anonymous bird in gray, but still it es rather characteristic in the Mexican landscape, since no other species shows the same combination of behavior, colors and shape.

Juvenile bird with dark streaks on the breast and yellowish vent. Notice how untidy the plumage looks. The looser juvenile coverts give it an expression of being heavily worn, which is not the case. The bird normally stays down on the other side of the wall, in the herb field, but now and then it dares itself to visit my property sitting on the wall or the wires.
