Subspecies: flavinuchus ♀. Endemic. Female. Funny that the woodpecker book, Woodpeckers of Winkler et al, mentions that the female should have a red nape patch. Doesn't seem to be so in my photos of females, nor have I been able to find this in photos of others. Endemic |
