Adult male. My preliminary conclusion is that it is such a hybrid. However, it is difficult to find information and photos online to confirm this. I base my conclusion mainly on the lack of black border toward the lower corner of the red throat patch, plus that the back patches are well-concentrated and not so diffuse as can been seen on a pure Yellow-bellied; perhaps the whitish part of the black eye stripe is also a hybrid character.
