Juvenile. The yellowgreen legs can be hard to realize when in shadow and covered with mud. Here with Western Sandpiper (Calidris mauri) in front. The general appearance the two amongst is very clear on this picture, where LS is stocky and front centered, mouselike, while WS is center balanced with heavier chest and with long tibia appears large and tall. |
