Light morph. Looks like a 2cy. Because of of the tail pattern and the rufous on the chest, seen in some young birds. The primaries seem to be in moult, but the tail looks more like if an accident has happened. Rare looking bird. |

Subspecies: fuliginosus Dark morph. Young bird? The strong dark bands on the tail indicate a young bird (compare with 610 which I judge to be an adult). The well-marked trailing edge is present though probably not as strong as it would be on an old adult. The juvenile white-speckled body and coverts are gone. See 577 too which is very much like this one. |
