Subspecies: conspectus / griseocauda The flying bird is probably one of the pair, and the one on the antenna the other. Both are adults. Very characteristic hawk with the uniformly colored, gray-brown, upper breast in contrast with the coarsely streaked breast and belly, rufous-brown. The distribution limit between the two subspecies mentioned goes through the northern Guatemala. Conspectus should be paler than griseocauda, but not sure how easy it is to see this difference in the field. |

Subspecies: conspectus / griseocauda Adult. Presume the same as 2156. Seen in the clearing at the restaurants at the beginning of the road toward Uaxactún. |
