A large thrush. Even when seen on open fields with the also large thrush, Fieldfare, it stands out by the upright and powerful stance and the uniform coloration.

During migration. Large thrush. Oval and round spots on the breast and the mono-chrome feel should always make you think this species rather than Song Thrush. However, overhead, like here, the orange-buff coverts of Song Thrush would be obvious, making it impossible to mis-id... |
