A singing male. First this year, and in an unusual habitat indicating a roosting bird still on migration. Normally they prefer mature beech forests. Typical bird with large contrast between white body and the yellow head and throat. The very long primary projection indicates a long distance migrant. |

♂. Fasanskoven. A singing bird must be a male! Here in Birch wood, probably making it a migrating bird. It's funny to see the bird in photo number two where the strong contrast between the whitish underside and the greenish upperside makes it look like one of the green North American warblers, Chestnut-sided fx. |
