Subspecies: europaea Likely young male. Young because of the brownish primaries and male because of the dark rufous flanks. Rather new species in Kongelunden/Amager. Immigrated during the last few years. Is seen in both the eastern and western part. Probably more pairs. |

Subspecies: [europaea] Lunden, Gemmas Alle. Very pale bird indicates this subspecies. Females have dusky rear flanks why this bird might be a such. Not sure though. My first observation on Amager, away from Kongelunden and adjecent areas. |

Lunden, Gemmas Alle. Two birds present, apparently foraging low in the gardens with feeders. The warm rufous colored underside on this bird indicates that it belongs to the continental subspecies, caesia, unlike the bird I saw at this site in September 2020, that was clearly paler on the underside. However, the subdued intensity of the color could also indicate a bird of mixed heritage. Will be interesting to see if I can find them in spring again, and confirm them as breeders here. |

Subspecies: europaea ♂. Chatting in the warm sun - or relatively warm with a late winter spell cast over us here at the end of March. Spring please! |
