Sex, Age, Comment | 1cy - 1 cycle bird. The young birds vary a lot and this one is fairly pale. Structure with strong dark bill as well as dark tertials with broad white tips and secondaries protruding under the greater coverts are good indications of this species. Yellow-footed would normally be more advanced at this time of year toward the first alternate plumage, and the Herring Gull more slender and without the protruding secondaries.
