Adult. A single bird has been present for some time. Being a city park, a suspicious origin is the most likely. However, it is a fact that the species has started to migrate through the eastern part of Denmark to a larger extend during recent years. The probable logic behind this is, that the species has started to breed on the arctic Russian island Noveja Zemlja, a thousand kilometers east of the Svalbard population. The bird looks healthy and apparently has been seen elsewhere in Copenhagen, why its ability to fly and move is good, and in all respects the bird looks like a classic representative of the species. |
