Adults. Unmistakable. The two birds probably came from Scania, southern Sweden, where two have been present lately, but gone today! Later today others witnessed that the birds were mating and started nest building. Interesting indeed, but the odds of success are low with disturbances, predators and fluctuating water level to be aware of. Update: A few days later the birds flew to Villahøj on Kalvebod Fælled, where they are still present busy breeding! |
