Sex, Age, Comment | A pale and brownish empidonax which is often found near water, as here. In this area it reminds mostly of Willow Flycatcher, but is more rounded, especially the head, and the buff wing bars stand out. They were more prominent in reality than seen on these photos. Bright throat which reach back under the cheek, strong bill and short primary projection are good indications of this species. The voice is also unique. My first in Jalisco. | ||||||||||||
