Sex, Age, Comment | 3 males and 1 female. The males are easy to recognize with the black rump, and the grayish brown general tone to the plumage. The female also has her own more grayish brown touch than female Mallard, and one can almost always be sure that a female accompanying one or more male Gadwall, also will be of this species - even though you don't see details well enough. | ||||||||||||
