Sex, Age, Comment | Adult male. A late bird at almost the same spot as the young bird a month earlier. When seen well the adult male is unmistakable. At a distance the lower rump could appear very bright, giving associations toward a young Hobby. Foraging by catching insects/dragonflies in the air - not hovering as it is also known to do. Looks like only a few primaries have been molted - would have expected more by this time of year. | ||||||||||||
