Sex, Age, Comment | Can't say anything about sex and age, but the bird responded to playback, why a good guess would say male. Like with 2838 I get the impression of an elongated species compared to other vireos. This bird shows more contrast on the underside compared to 2838, but the upper side shows a rather diffuse uniformly colored bird which doesn't fit well with other vireos in the area. RCKi is again excluded by the thick bill, if nothing else. The habitat is low dry oak-forest with dense shrubby understory, rather different from the habitat in Jalisco for example. | ||||||||||||
