Sex, Age, Comment | Apparently impossible to separate the two by looks only, therefore it has to be a sp. Even the calls seem to be 100% sure to use as identification. Pacific-slope has a one-syllable call while Cordilleran has a two-syllable call. I have heard both of them here around the Ciudad de Colima. Hope they will be lumped again soon. The picture is heavily overexposed therefore the coloration of the front of the bird is way too bright compared to the real light. The whole bird looked dark olive green as expected for these species. | ||||||||||||
