Second calendar year. ♂. Assuming that eagerly singing migrant birds still follow the traditional belief that such an individual is a male, I conclude the sex as so with this bird. Beside the song, the pale lower mandible assures that this bird is not a Taiga Flycatcher! Found in the SE department by RT. Easier to see, than the bird I found last year, and singing more actively. Also: Common Chaffinch, Eurasian Blackbird, Eurasian Blackcap, Eurasian Wren. |
