Adult. Calling it an adult because of the all yellow bill and the all white tail. But to my best judgment this is not one of the two birds breeding this year. The head and neck feathering is too dark compared to the other birds. See 3543. However, it was sitting in the patio-tree that the breeding pair often favors, close to the nest, making me wonder if this one has acted as an intruder with selfish intentions. There are quite a few eagles in the larger area, several birds on Saltholm, the nearby island in Øresund, and this spring four birds have been seen at the same time on Aflandshage at the southern point of Amager. But whatever it was doing there, it apparently was a one time event because I've only seen it this once. |
