Typical bird, greenish gray look overall, long broad eyebrow and faint single wing bar. Appearance extremely variable depending on light and angle, as photos show. Singing almost constantly as it is normal for newly arrived warblers. Two song types. The typical thin metallic descending twitter with a single starting note, and an up-and-down sequence resembling Great Tit. Another bird was present today in Pinseskoven, Vestamager. Normal time of year and more or less expected today after rain passed through the Copenhagen area during the night. Sound recordings also: [0:13]: Great Tit, Eurasian Blackbird, Common Chaffinch. [6:18]: Eurasian Blackbird, Eurasian Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Common Chaffinch, Common Redshank, Hooded Crow. [Recording has been modified by cutting out noisy irrelevant parts. The microphone was moved during recording, affecting the volume of sound] |
