Sex, Age, Comment | Juvenile. Local juvenile with the neat regular plumage. The warm tones and the pale reddish legs separate it from common migrant Wood Sandpiper which is normally cold gray, finer build and has greenish legs. Very rare Lesser Yellowlegs is probably the biggest confusion possibility but with prolonged views the also cold gray basic tone and the more stilt like stance plus always more yellowish legs should lead you in the right direction. The bump on the upper bill looks like an abnormality. | ||||||||||||
